I tailor images to my clients brand, their esthetic and do my best to fit a realistic budget. The process should be enjoyable with good communication and the results will reflect those steps. It is much more pleasant to go to work when everyone enjoys meeting new people, allow them to do their work with the tools they need and allowed to contribute their ideas.
I love the variety of subjects, people and places my work afford me. I enjoy the challenges of Pre-Production, setting expectations and then exploring where the elements take us. I find that every project has a life of its own and you simply need to let everyone contribute what they do best to achieve the best results.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is important to understand the concept, listen to the needs and expectations of the client. Once these items have been communicated, the team can assemble the ingredients, items or props needed to complete the project. The client should know how the images are to be used, how many they need and for how long. These factors determine the fee for their project.
Once we've shot the images, proofs will be processed and selections can be made. The final images will be edited and delivered in the timeline agreed upon before the project begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my photo career as an assistant in Nashville, Tennessee. I worked with John Chaisson for over four years shooting celebrity portraits for Time, People and Premiere Magazines. John also shot CD packages for the Music Industry artists and Advertising images.
After moving to Atlanta, I assisted Troy Plota for over two years. Troy shot fashion images and his clients included Macy's, Goody's and the Music Industry. I also assisted Rob Brinson and David Smith for two years on catalog and editorial projects.
All of those photographers taught me how to conduct myself as a professional and the nuances of the profession. I use them today as I work with my own clients shooting lifestyle, food and product images. I even work with clients requiring architechual and interiors which I enjoy working on.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My client list includes Hillshire Farm, McAlister's Deli, Corner Bakery Cafe and Atlanta Magazine, The Atlantan, Lake Oconee Living to name a few. I also enjoy working with small businesses and shooting images for individuals. Every client has their own expectation and opportunity to create something beautiful.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I like it when a potential client has a concept, is ready to let us do our jobs and understands that I price my work according to the difficulty of the shots, how they will be used and for how long.
