My aesthetic is moody and ever-unfolding. We are well versed in the creative and all technical aspects of photography...also have post production knowledge. editing/retouching/color management/printing/digital capture

We are passionate about developing/inspiring ideas in order to really understand the individual needs of each client and produce the best possible images. We love bringing client's vision to life in the form of images which thoughtfully capture great and fleeting moments.. We love connecting with individual personalities through portraits.

We are very inspired by creating images that communicate the natural and distinct essences of the subject.

His sincerity. He really gave us the feeling that he genuinely cared about this joyous time in our life. He and his wife were very complimentary and felt like a part of our wedding party.

Okay so, Diego Hugo and staff are completely and utterly brilliant! The moody lighting, the direction, the encouragement and the eye made our engagement shoot fun, but serious and captured all of the moments we wanted and more! We are SO excited for him to shoot our wedding and can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us through his magical lens!

    Frequently asked questions

My typical process in working with a new customer is to move from emails and texts to phone calls as soon as possible. This allows me to start establishing a rapport with the new client and helping to better understand their needs. If I'm working a corporate event, then I always show up at least an hour before the event to meet you, go over the timing of events, and get acclimated to my surroundings. For commercial and magazine work, I like to meet in person before the day of the shoot to establish a rapport with you and understand exactly what your vision is and then find the best way to bring it to reality. For weddings, I like to have a couple of meeting to discuss all aspects of yhe special day. Then, all I require is a half of the session deposit to hold their place in my calendar, and lastly, we will capture some amazing photographs!

I'm a member of ASMP and have been certified by the Professional Photographers of America as a Certified Professional Photographer.

I found out I had a passion for photography at a young age. I decided to go to workshops that were catered to high school students over the summers. I interned two different types of photographers in high school to figure out what style I enjoyed more. One of the photographers became my mentor and we still keep in contact! That's where I truly found myself and who I was as a photographer. I spent those four years in the Us Marines working with amazing people and listening to amazing story tellers. Since then, I try to learn from all the photographers around me. I truly believe in community over competition.

My pricing is based on these factors: Time on the job (including post-production), size of shoot (is it a simple headshot session or is it a multiple light location shoot that requires me to hire assistants). There is more to it than just showing up and taking photos. Depending on your type of shoot, there can be a lot of pre-planning, permitting in some cases, the shoot itself with assistants and maybe a make-up artist, the editing afterward, etc. It can take a lot of time and all that has to factor into the pricing.

I started in US Marine Corp it was my Job(mos) and my father was also a photographer...who always inspired me.

As important as budget, the connection and chemistry between client and photographer has everything to do with how happy the client will be with the results of a photo shoot -- whether for a wedding, senior portraits, family portraits or fashion. So take time to chat with your candidates before you decide.

A good photographer should know about lighting...they should be able to light and compose a good shot of whatever they are shooting...

What it all truly boils down to is do you like the photographers work? From there, start asking these questions. Are you wanting to create a large print? If so does the photographer have a camera that will provide the file size you need? Do they have a professional printer they work? Are you needing to hire a photographer for advertising work? Will you be putting copy on the images? Will you be using this images as banners or square crops? Does the photographer you like I have experience shooting for that end product? Do you feel like you have a good backup system for your files or is it possible in two or three years you'll loose them and want to go back to the photographer for the files? Does the photographer have a good backup system and how long will they keep your files? Does your shoot require special re-touching (dropping background out to 100% white, removing weight, architecture re-touching, etc) Does the photographer you like know how to do this post production or do they work with a re-toucher that does? Do you have a deadline that is only 4 days after the shoot? Can the photographer you like provide the final images that fast? Did you have a budget in mind and will it afford you the photographer you like? If your under budget is it worth spending some more to get what you want to do you need to keep looking around for someone that will fit your budget? You get the idea, each shoot and you have unique needs. Whoever you go with, ask the questions to make sure they can provide for you what you are looking for.
