I attend hair color and hair extension extra education at least once a year.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started in this business when I begged my mom to allow me to straighten my hair. At first I had difficulty styling it, but with pop practice, I got good enough that I was getting request from people in my neighborhood to do theirs also. After high school, it made since for me to get a professional license since I was making money styling hair already.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My skill and clientele is diverse and it's on purpose. They come from various backgrounds, gender and ethicnicties.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We just did hair and makeup for The Journey Awards and Fashion Show. We're still recieving thank you calls and email.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give a customer looking to hire a pro like myself is to ask good questions if you have any concerns. Also, follow your intuition.
