About

I love getting to know my clients. Most make they're first contact during a major life event - senior photos, engagements, weddings. It's even better when I get to grow with the client and document their lives - family photos, children, friends. Picking your photographer is more than just finding someone with a camera. You want to find someone who can truly capture this moment in time. It's a privilege when my clients trust me to document their lives in photos.

People are truly wonderous beings. Getting to capture them and then showing how beautiful they are... I love the look I see when someone sees how amazing they can appear.

    Frequently asked questions

COVID: video conference in advance of the shoot to discuss what the client wants. I use this time to develop a plan for the session with the client. If all parties agree to the session plan, a contract is sent to the client for signature along with down payment.

Final payment is due before delivery of the photos.

I've been a photographer since I was in Junior High School. That's over thirty years' experience.

Photography was primarily for self enrichment, but I kept getting asked to help with friends' weddings and other special events. The business grew from the demand.

Salvation Army, Hyatt Hotel, Iowa State ROTC Annual Military Ball, GuideOne Insurance

One of my favorite regular assignments is the Iowa State Military Ball. I've been photographing the students the past four years. It's great to see how they've become fine young men and women.

Find a photographer you trust and stick with them. That relationship will blossom into some fantastic images to last you a lifetime.

What is the goal of the session? Family photo? Event? Wedding? Headshot? Understand that each type requires different planning, time and setup. Think about what you want the finished product to be: photo book, prints, wall art, digital files? Try building a mood board to show your photographer. They can then plan your session melding your inspiration to their artistry.
