About
We are a Full-Service Planning and Event Design Team based in Des Moines since 2003. We partner with you planning a wedding, birthday party, corporate holiday party or anniversary, milestone parties, surprise party, or special holiday celebrations. Our goal as planners is to take away as much stress and frustration that often come along with event planning. We can do full wedding or event planning handling all the logistics, scheduling, emails, paperwork, phone calls and everything in between as you'd like us to or we can do partial planning only handling those items you want us to tackle. We can guide you through every aspect of your planning from the very beginning to the very last moment with the highest level of taste and personalized service. We can find your venue, select the best vendors, design your event, all the way to the final execution, and everything in between. We pay extremely close attention to your budget and your priorities and make sure each and every decision reflects your style and the story you want to tell.
We love taking your dreams of what your wedding or special event is going to look like and turning that dream into reality. We love taking the stress out of planning an event so you can just relax and enjoy the day.

How did you get started in this business?
I was a Vice President at Wells Fargo traveling three weeks out of the month and putting in very long hours. When I got engaged, I realized with my fiance's hectic schedule and mine that I could not start a new successful marriage and keep my current job so I left Wells Fargo and started my own business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have been so blessed to have worked with hundreds of customers. I've done every size wedding and party that you can imagine. My smallest was a two-person surprise anniversary party in a local park, one of my larger weddings was a 700 person wedding, and we've done lots of corporate events of every size. We just did our first Hindu wedding and reception - it was so fun - and we have done over 100 birthday parties.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I worked with a couple from Columbia, South America to plan their wedding and reception. They were so wonderful to work with and it was such fun for me to learn what they wanted included in their wedding unique to their culture. Their Catholic ceremony was all in Spanish, but I helped create their programs all in English, so that those of who are Spanish-challenged could follow along. They didn't even know what a "program" was so it was wonderful to be able to help them understand our customs and I learned to love theirs.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for a Certified Wedding or Event Planner with several years of expereince. I had to prove over 5,000 hours of work experience in order to be certified.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What they need help with? What is their budget? Are there things that are really important to them - say the photographer or the flowers are the most important...the planner needs to know that.
