About this pro

Nothing is ordinary.

This life is so many flavors, textures, scenes, details. I am obsessed with the little things that build up those big things.

And color. Give me color.

Memories are everything.  It’s kind of obvious. I love creating beautiful things with my clients. I don’t just photograph them... we collaborate by existing in it together.

Working with Mysi is like seeing this world from a whole new perspective. She makes anyone in front of the camera feel like that is exactly where they are supposed to be. She finds ways to take a photo in a way you never thought of and didn't know you wanted. This girl is a magician with a camera, a genius in the editing department, and bonus, an instant friend.

I cannot say enough about Mysi! I first met her a number of years ago when she was doing photographs for a party I was attending. I feel in love with her work right there and vowed to have her photograph my wedding (I wasn't even dating at the time!). A few years later I hired her for my wedding and I think she was my best decision. I HIGHLY recommend her. She caught so many magical and intimate moments that I would have never seen. She has true talent and is a wonderful person to work with in addition.

There are truly no words to describe the talent, drive, and creativity that inhabits Mysi from Soda Fountain. She is quirky, imaginative, and an amazing photographer. Her work is original, fun and full of life, passion, love, and color! Mysi is simply amazing. If you are lucky enough to book her, the photos you will receive will be truly one of a kind special in so many ways!

Mysi brings out the best in people, and then she captures it all on film. It’s not just that she has the eye, and it’s not just that she has the skill—it’s that she gets to the heart of the matter. The quiet moments, the loud ones, the irreverent, the unforgettable. Just book her, already.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We meet and eat pie, then twirl around the city (whatever city) taking candid in-between-moment photos. Very very casually being incredible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I’ve been studying faces and shapes my whole life. I see everything in frames.

How did you get started in this business?

After spending too many years getting my BA in Creative Writing and failing miserably at having “real” jobs, I picked up a camera and promptly forgot how to do anything but take pictures.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Clever, funny, beautiful, outgoing, shy, colorful, creative, caring, inspirational people of all walks and shades and shapes and personal pronouns.
