From a young age I have always had a camera in my hand, and that's why I started taking photography courses. I knew I wanted to turn my passion into my business, so I started Justin Dorpat Photography in January of 2017. I have been nominated and won multiple awards for my photography in the past. I am currently a photography minor at Concordia University Wisconsin and love having a camera in my hand. I specialize in portrait photography, but do all types of photography!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with I new customer, I set up a date to meet with the client and get coffee (because who doesn't love coffee). I get to hear about them and what they want in a photoshoot. There we discuss locations, days, and time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken six photography courses in portrait photography, wedding photography, studio photography, and just about every type of photography! I'm also a photography minor at Concordia University Wisconsin.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have standard prices on my website but every shoot is different! When we meet for coffee, I also discuss pricing with my client. A typical portrait shoot is $130

I have worked with all type of customers! Old & young, experienced and unexperienced!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't settle! If you want a your pictures a certain way, then make sure you get it that way. Photoshoots are always about the customer, so never compromise.
