Q & A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I ask the client what they need and how much they want to spend. I then create a proposal for the specific details they are looking for.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been creating floral designs for 23 years and planning weddings and parties for 15 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

No standard pricing. Everything is custom created.

How did you get started in this business?

Started managing parties for the theater I was working for. I have many years of combined experience in: floral, displays, catering, photography.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Mostly wedding, charities, networking groups or chamber events.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Had an event in downtown Chicago that we were to only drop off the floral, but ended up assisting the planner of the event with little details and the catering staff with setting the tables, chairs, place settings and glassware. We stayed 3 times longer jus to get the event completed instead of just dropping off the floral.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Like and trust your pro. If you don't like them or trust, it won't matter about price. Personality can be everything to make your event a great experience or a bad one.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Basics: date, time, place, type of event, size of event, colors, themes.
