My portrait business for families and seniors is very customized to my clients. I help them plan the session including clothing and location. My service does not stop after the photo session. I help my clients create art with their images.
My personal/business branding business is geared towards the entrepreneur and business owners who need to improve the quality of their images, including websites, blogs, and social media. The purpose of this type of photography is to tell the stories that define the business owner's brand, thus helping create a stronger connection with their audiences.
I have a degree in photography and have been in business 5 years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most potential clients start out by inquiring via email or a phone call. I offer in-person meetings to discuss the photogrphy project, and be sure we are a good fit. I also have them fill out a questionnaire.
The session is planned together, and happens in the location we choose. Afterwards, the client gets an appointment to come back to my studio to review the images and order from a variety of printed products and packages. Digital packages are an option.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received an associates degree from College of DuPage. I attend workshops and educational conferences at least twice/year. I am a member of The Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
It varies depending on the type of photography. A simple studio headshot session with one finished image is $165. Portrait sessions are priced from $99 and then photo products, digitals, and packages are purchased separately with print packages atsrting at $300. For business and branding photo projects, I offer packages starting at $1500 (for commercial use).

Started as a hobby. It's my passion turned business. I love being an image creator.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Unfortunately there is no minimal requirements to ba able to call yourself a professional photographer. As a consumer, it's up to you to ask the right questions so you are getting the level of expertise you need.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask things like credentials (certifications or degrees), ability to use lighting (doesn't only depend on natural light) well.Look for testimonials and even get references. Be sure their portfolio images are the style that appeals to you. Be sure the photographer has a legitimate business.
