Obsolete Optics
About
By slowing down, waiting for the decisive & candid moments, taking the time to get the right shots, not spraying & praying, using equipment some would call obsolete, exposing film not silicon, storing photons physically & chemically instead of binarily & electronically, on grain finer than pixels, adventuring to places most won't go to see things most won't see, disrupting instant gratification with time & labor, supporting companies I care about such as lomography.com & thedarkroom.com, preserving "dying" formats, rescuing forgotten tools, trying new things, experimenting with different emulsions & techniques, and challenging the status quo, Obsolete Optics stands apart from the competition by cooperating with fellow entrepreneurs, developing collaborative relationships with clients, participating in film swaps & print exchanges with fellow lomographers, donating to worthy campaigns, providing quality over quantity, bringing lifelong interest & experience to the table, and doing at all on a shoestring budget out of his childhood bedroom in a quaint little river town an hour west of Chicago just south of Aurora. Soon to be published, too!
