About

I have over 20 years of photography experience shooting in natural light and using controlled light such as flash and LED lighting. I enjoy capturing the fun spontaneous moments as it happens but I also like to set the scene and work with individuals on instructing/posing to help create beautiful images. I enjoy working with others to help create an image that captures a time in their lives that brings them joy. As we move through life we constantly make new memories while often forgetting about some in the past. So capturing it in a photograph I feel is a great why of allowing us to remember that moment and enjoy that feeling once again.

    Frequently asked questions

When you contact me we will talk and figure out exactly what type and how much coverage you are looking for. What you want to capture and story you would like to tell.

I spent a few years studying photojournalism while in college and prior to that I was a self taught phootgrapher reading and studying what I could about phootography and light. While In college I also got a job working in a photolab and then began working as a second shooter on weddings. I began my photography career shooting with film cameras and working in dark rooms but once digital began taking over I quickly began learing everything  I could while also attending workshops and seminars held by Adobe Photoshop.

I do have a set price for services but I also talk with clients and we work to figure out what their budget is and what they are looking for.

Working as a seconded shooter photographer for other established photographers.

I've worked shooting weddings, family photographs, high school and college seniors and I've worked as a freelance photographer covering sporting events.

Look at their work carefully, not just at the couples photos from a wedding. See what the ceremony and reception photos look like, particularly any indoor events. See if their work is a trend, does it look and have the same colors process/editing like others. If so it is a trend and so ask yourself, will this still look good and pleasing 5, 10 or 20 years from now.
