JORRIS IMAGERY
About
I've had 28 years in the fasion Industry and owned my own Modeling agency for eight years... I have traveled and worked with many artist and photographers. My work has been mostly assisting well known artist featured with many successful advertising agencies and publications including Cosmopolitan magazine, ELLE and Vogue... I have done hair and make up for several music videos along with assisting in production and choreography... I am simplistic and to the point with Facial shaping, texturizing and layering. Mostly finding my angles from a Photographers point of view... I say simplistic because I am not into multi colored or Trendy colors that do not last... Upkeep and ease is my foremost concern...as you will notice most celebrities keep it simple and let the stylist create their character. If you are a person that does not solely rely on fads or trends to create your individual and personalized look then I am your man.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Well of course assisting the best of the best in any fasion related job is huge... I had always won every state competition I ever enterd as a student in cosmetology school... After training 1800 hrs. For my degree, winning ROY'S OF LOUISVILLE "Student Of The Year Award" I immediately started my career at Cosmo Model and Talent Agency where I was hair and make up artist for Photo shoot' of young and upcoming models and actors/actresses. During that time I started traveling with a national company called PHOTOGROUP we shot several John Casablanca Schools throughout the United States. Working with these age varied and talented people started my fascination with photography and poise of the human face and full body anatomy... Learning everything from fabrication of clothing to fitting and cut for each individual and how to alter shape with angles and lengths which really expanded my knowledge for hair and make-up resulting in a final look...My co-ownership of MJK Model and Talent Agency was inevitable, producing, photographing and training such young stars as Nicole Scherzinger, Lead of the "PussyCat Dolls" along with many others

My Mom had won several national competitions during school and in the start of her career... She said I was always artistic with my singing and piano, and said I always loved everyone, she suggested hairdressing as an option for a career... I've always been happy making people beautiful and unique within their own guidelines...
What types of customers have you worked with?
Everyone from advertising agents, photographers,videographers,models/talent to your every day wonderful person... This day and time I am helping train saddlebred horses for my family farm,,,and to not have the freedom of traveling for lengths of time and enjoy my salon time...
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't end up letting someone giving you a color that cannot be reproduced more than once, and be careful that you get the same shape for multiple times. If you love it you want to make sure they can do it twice at least... 😳😂💦
