Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do a full and thorough consultation with every guest, where I gather all the information about them and their hair to suggest and recommend what is best for their hair!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken continuing education classes, color classes to keep up with trends and constantly practicing updos for my wedding and prom guests!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All these prices are starting @ prices that can go up according to length, thickness and difficulty of styles and time. There are also add-on fees according to styling, like curling iron and flat iron, as well as, extra product for long or thick hair when doing chemicals:
Haircuts: $40, Updos: $50, Shampoo and blow dry: $30, natural hair $50, Steam Infusion: $50, single process Haircolor: $80, Full Hilites/Lowlites: $100 Relaxers: $85 Keratin Smoothing Treatments: $195, Perms: $80
How did you get started in this business?
I started hair school when I was 15 and graduated before I got out of high school! I just knew this is what I wanted to do!
What types of customers have you worked with?
As I said before, I have a multi-cultural client base! I don't discriminate....GOT HAIR? I CAN DO IT!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Have different pics of styles, or haircolors, that you like. Have a budget on around how much you would like to spend. Be flexible, that way a service provider can meet you where you are on the styling and pricing of the service.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I do a full consultation on every guest, even guests I've done on many occasions. You never know when someone wants to change things up, if you don't ask and just do "what you always do"! I'll ask all the relevant questions and give them a price before I get started.
