About

I have 14 years of experience photographing events and portraits. I provide a full service photography experience. I help style my clients and even offer to shop with them, should they need. I plan each shoot with my clients personality, style and comfort level in mind. I have been known to help clients reach certain fitness goals prior to their shoot to help them feel more confident in front of the camera.

I love that through my photography I have the unique opportunity to capture memories otherwise forgotten! Many of my clients become friends by the end of their sessions.

I’ve had the pleasure of having Pfanntastic Photography capture numerous different occasions for me from my Wedding to my son’s wedding, Christmas photos, Anniversary photos, Company headshots & private sessions. Jerusha is wonderful to work with & always goes above & beyond in so many ways, from helping to coordinate clothing to answering all of my questions. She is very professional, knowledgeable & passionate about her work & it definitely shows in the final product. There are so many facets to photography that one has to know in being a true professional, such as lighting. I think most all of us tend to take for granted the complexities of being a true professional now a days, since capturing a moment is just a cell phone camera away, but the quality of the work Jerusha produces cannot even begin compare. Her work is exquisite! She has always exceeded my high expectations & because of that, I am a customer for life! <3

    Frequently asked questions

I usually like to schedule a time to chat over the phone so we can get to know each other a little better. Depending on what type of shoot the client is looking to schedule, I may send out a questionnaire helping me to better prepare for said session. If necessary, I even help style my clients prior to each shoot. If they have a particular location in mind for the shoot, I make sure to scope the location out ahead of time to ensure I have a plan for angles, lighting conditions, and know what kind of approach to take to shooting.

My normal rate is $350 per hour. Which includes editing, a private online gallery with 10 years of storage, and print release.

I can design wedding packages around your specific needs. All wedding packages include an engagement session, a lighting assistant or a 2nd shooter, and a private online gallery with print release.

I started my Photography journey opposite to how most do. I started off editing the date stamp off of my own backup, backup wedding photos. I believe I had My Heart Will Go On playing on repeat, and a bottle of wine and tissues close at hand.

Three weeks prior to my wedding, our "photographer" (a relative of my sister's husband) backed out on us, said she felt as though our expectations and her ability were on two completely different levels. I'm sure she was right. This development left us in a last minute dash to find a replacement. My soon-to-be mother in-law took on the task of finding someone.

The day of the wedding was our first time meeting him. He was 80+, shot entirely in film, didn't have an assistant, didn't know how to pose/direct people. It was a disaster!

While we were on our honeymoon, he turned over a sample album to my mother in-law. The images had magic marker all over them explaining what he would do in post once we selected which images we wanted to purchase. "Will crop" "will straighten". The thought of throwing anymore money away on these terrible images had my stomach in knots. So we attempted to reach out to him. And later found his obituary.

Moral of the story… If you think it's expensive to hire a professional, just wait until you hire an amateur.

    All over the board really...

I work regularly with engaged couples to plan and style them for their engagement session, I'm there with them every step of the way during their wedding day. Married couples wishing to capture the continuation of their love stories for their anniversaries. Couples expecting their newest addition, newborn photos, and the one year milestone of that same little one.

    Business professionals needing updated headshots.

    Companies needing product photography.

Restaurants needing photos to showcase their delectable food, as well as photos of their dining spaces.

Fashion industry professionals. Artists, and performers.

I recently had the pleasure of capturing the celebration of a client's mother's 100th Birthday. She was even up and dancing 💃 Love it!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer these are the questions I would recommend asking

    1) How many weddings have you been hired to photograph?

    2) Can I see at least 4 complete wedding galleries you have edited and turned over to your clients?

    3) Are you insured? (Most venues require this now)

    4) How often do you have your equipment serviced?

    5) Does your camera have the ability to record on multiple memory cards simultaneously? VERY IMPORTANT! Memory cards fail. I have never heard of multiple cards failing at the same time.

    6) Do you have backup camera bodies, and lenses to shoot with should anything happen to your primary gear? I've had a $4,000 lighting system fail on me following the ceremony, I packed up that system and pulled out my backup. The client never knew anything happened.

    7) Do you shoot with OCF (off camera flash) if they don't know what OCF is run away as fast as you can.

Are they serious about wanting to properly preserve their memories, or are they just wanting to price shop, and find the cheapest available option?

I don't claim to be the cheapest option out there, and I don't want to be. What I can promise is that the price is more than reasonable for the quality and service I provide. This is my full-time job, I am usually available at a moments notice for each and every client.
