Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually conduct a short friendly telephone screening which usually includes open Q&A. My salon was created to tailor almost any hair care need. I allow my clients to pick from a wide variety of product lines to be used for their service. While in my chair, I like to build a nice rapport with my new clients, get to know more about them, and also share more about myself. Usually by the time I'm done with ya, it'll feel like we've been friends for years!! I create that space here, POSITIVE ENERGY/VIBES ONLY!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am truly a lover of ALL THINGS HAIR!! I am a California-raised hair stylist with a well seasoned Southern twist (influence). I have been Polishing Crowns since 2004!!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing varies depending on the hair service. Pricing also is discussed during initial consultation/inquiry.
How did you get started in this business?
Quick story:
My grandfather,(yes grandFather) the great Doctor Marion Davenport was the family beautician. When my great-grandmother passed away whom she was preceded in death by her loving husband, my grandfather being the oldest and a recent graduate from med school, took on raising 8 sibling. 7 of those sibling were girls lol. My grandfather learned to do and style HAIR!! He was a doctor by day and beautician in the evenings. Not just for women but my grandfather provided hair care for men too. Hair and Beauty has been passed down several generation in my family but my passion and love for this trade has always resonated within me. My mother taught me so much more..And now that I have daughters, I shall pass it all on! It's DEEP!! It's personal for me. It's tradition.
