The use of spices, plant protiens, select meat, slow cooking and the skill required to cook Indian food has made Indian food one of most popular cuisines. It is on the rise with the awareness among younsters globally. Tikkaway makes the cusine very approachable. We break it down to ingredients, herbs, spices and sauces. Someone trying Indian food for the first time is able to understand easily and enjoy the flavors. Very easy to get initiate into Indian cuisine.

We speak with the customer, understand the needs, the guest profile, demographics, location , time and customize the services from our end. We offer the options to the guest and the guest makes an informed decision.

Degree in Culinary Science.

How did you get started in this business?
After having spent years in Indian fine dining restaurants I realized that Indian food is still percieved with apprehension. It was necessary to make it easy for everyone. It was necessary to educate people on the benefits of the spices and also allow them to experiment with flavors and make it their own.

Indian food appeals to every one.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Catered to a out door get together in the COVID-19 times. Tikkaway was able to bring food customized to the occassion in individually packaged container of variuos sizes and shapes that had an amazing impact on the event. Food was the talking point of the entire event. Everyone was able to enjoy- there were kids and older people who had never had Indian fodo before - they were also able to get something that worked for them. They are converts !
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Speaking with the team and communicating all your needs is extremely important. This helps the caterer to customize the offering that fits your party.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should definitely think about allergens and their guest profile to begin with.
