About
My name is Dashawn Toppin. I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and currently reside in Glen Burnie, Maryland — just 15 minutes from Baltimore and about 45 minutes from Washington, D.C.
I discovered my passion for cooking shortly after finishing high school and decided to pursue it professionally. I graduated from Lincoln Culinary Institute in 2010 and immediately began building my career in the culinary world. In 2014, I took a leap of faith and launched my own business as a private chef and caterer. By 2016, I advanced to Executive Sous Chef, and in 2023, I proudly earned the title of Executive Chef.
While I’ve gained valuable experience working throughout the restaurant industry, my true passion has always been private dining. There’s something special about the intimate and personalized experience of being a private chef — from engaging with guests and plating each dish with intention, to serving and witnessing the joy my food brings to others. That connection is what drives me.
I look forward to meeting new clients and always appreciate the support of my loyal, returning guests. Creating memorable dining experiences is not just my job — it’s my purpose.
