Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A brief phone interview about the customers upcoming event and discuss pricing based on whatever package best suits the customers needs. Then I would describe as best as possible using visual aids what this would look like to the customer. The goal being that the customer is 100% comfortable with all arrangements and services to be rendered by this company and all questions and or reservations if any have been addressed. We aim to please and create unforgettable memories that last a lifetime.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Broadcast and Media Training and Radio experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing for most events excluding weddings start at $100 per hour. Including set up and breakdown and standard 2 speakers and sub if needed.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always been into musing since childhood growing up. Used to play with my fathers A-Track stereo for hours and then onto cassette tapes and finally vinyl records. It came as something natural to me and I seemed to have a knack for mixing and blending music
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with most client types from regular folks to business or corporate, event planners, clubs and promoters and event or catering halls.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My favourite types of events are weddings by far and private events like birthday parties. My last event was a going away party for a couple that was moving to Texas from here in Maryland. I personally knew some of the guests which made it feel more family orientated and casual more than a business transaction. I knew exactly want the wanted and I gave it to them and it turned out spectacular. The couple had and awesome and so did all the invited guests and I got many referrals.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The best and most successful events I have done were always the ones where I connected on a deeper level with my clients during the interview and booking process. When you feel good about the Deejay you hire before the event, it eases tension, nervousness and apprehension around the entire process and sets the client and myself at ease. Ask the right questions and if it doesnt feel right, hire someone else. Dont force it no matter what anyone else says or recommends.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Always be clear on pricing and what it includes for the services to be rendered. Ask direct questions about rates and ask to see reviews or photos of previous events m. They help give an idea of who you are hiring.
