Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My focus is finding out what the customer needs and how can I help. Our first consultation helps me to understand what the client needs. Coming up with a vision that will be captured through my lenses, for the client is most important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Bowie State University for Broadcast Technology. I have at least 5 years of experience in Weddings, Events, Birthdays, and Real Estate Photography. I continue building myself by attending many online workshops. I am mentored by some of the areas best, in person and online.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I offer a great price for the services you receive. I am always willing to consult with you to envision what you would like.Prices do vary from Weddings and events to head-shots, to portraits. From the session, selection process, editing, printing and online transactions (thumb drive). I enjoy the entire experience. Weddings require a 50% deposit in advance to schedule the date. Photos are generally completed within 7 days or sooner. I provide online access to your photos or thru a thumb drive. Payments can be made in cash or thru the cash app only. No personal Checks
How did you get started in this business?
I loved capturing images of my family. I showed my work to a few professional photographers and was encouraged to pursue it professionally. One of them took me under his wing and began tutoring me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with children and families, bride and grooms, models, musicians, churches, pastors, professional models, clothing lines and many others.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I did a shoot for a young man at National Harbor in 30 degree weather. The shoot was about 1 hour. Although it was cold, we had a great time and the pictures came out amazing!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Customers should be clear and concise. Being open to suggestions the professional is a plus. Share what the need, budget and focus is. Being indecisive brings about frustration. The experience should always be positive for both parties.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should always be willing to ask for as much information possible in order to make them feel comfortable but always be willing to allow the professional to do their job properly.
