Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meeting my clients before a shoot is key. I find it vital we collaborate, which enables me to get the greatest sense of what they want and how I will bring that vision to life for them.
I like to set up a shoot wherever my client is most comfortable so I am able to capture that essence.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had a twenty year love affair with photography, and that passion just continues to flourish daily. I began my studies in high school, and continued with private tutors and self study. I worked in the entertainment world for a time-New York City to Los Angeles- shooting movie sets and headshots. I have also traveled extensively and set up shoots across the globe, from New York City, to London, and Costa Rica, to Reykjavik.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My rates begin at $300/hr.
I have packages available for Acting/Cooporate headshots, Architecture and Real Eatate shoots (they start at $500)
How did you get started in this business?
It was love at first Nikon! A second generation photographer, I was initially taught by my Mom before I took any classes. I was first published by a local paper in high school. The rest was history! I knew then I would pursue what I was lost passionate about-photography.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Not all photographers are created equal, and specialize in different types of photography. Take a look at their portfolio and make sure you meet the photographer before signing them for your project. A good photographer will be forthcoming as to whether they feel they're your best bet. Furthermore, they should direct you to someone else who would better suit your needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
First, get a feel for the person/team and make sure you meah well.
What would you say is your strongest area?
Portraits, landscapes, and real eatate (to name a few) are very different from each other. Make sure the photographer fits your needs!
I would also ask what their process looks like for the day of the shoot as well as the turn around for your final photos.
