About
I have stood behind one camera or another for almost my entire adult life. Portraits, news (including overseas assignments) and time in Los Angeles in the movie business has helped me hone my craft. I bring decades of experience to each job that I am commissioned to do.
I have been a pro since 1985. I started out as a portrait photographer. Then I did some advertising work, then to L.A., after that I went to the news. My camera has taken me to places all across the U.S. and a few far away countries too.
But I always remembered the joy of portraiture. It's a passion, something that I do for the joy of it. These days I love it because it's a happy time, not the tragic scenes that have been before my lens as a photojournalist, but a family time, a chance to make something that will be treasured for generations.
I have portraits of my family going back over 100 years. What a treasure! They were passed down over the years. When I'm gone they will be passed down again. I want you to have that too for your future generations, for the next 100 and more years.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer classical portraiture with real, large format film and also digital, modern cameras. Our portraits can last from 15 minutes to several hours but the good news is you don't pay by the hour or minute - your commissioned work is based on results - not time.

I have taught photography in workshops and at a school
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Check out the work not just the price. We are more expensive than most but we do offer more.
