About

I help my photo subjects to find their place, their vibe, their style, in a natural way. My goal with each photography session is to eliminate any fear or feelings of awkwardness in front of the camera. I want to find the real you, at your best. Then I'll capture that brief interaction and preserve it.

I am proud of my 17 years of photography and video service to my clients. I love meeting and working with new people. Photography is a powerful way to make a statement and capture a slice of time that can never be repeated.

I have great hopes that I might actually like a photo of myself with you behind the camera – no easy feat, as I’m a terrible self-critic! Looking forward to having you do my book cover photo.

I am genuinely impressed in Tom’s portrait work. He is able to get deeper into the subjects personalities and bring out that extra quality that is hard for most people to see. His lighting is beautiful and he really uses focus, lighting and color to enhance the shots. Mastering both the moment in time and the lighting is a hard combination. His pictures have that quality to them. The framing and packaging is nicely done. He seems to have a good sense of color and design – and a good use of space. Overall, I am truly impressed. I would easily recommend him to anyone.

My father did photography in the 70's. A few years later I began a deeper look into photography while in high school. I was the head photographer of my high school year book about 40-ish years ago. Photography is just one of those things that blended with my other interests. It allows me to work with other creative people, and folks from all walks of life that I might not otherwise get to meet.

I've had the pleasure of working with High school seniors, moms, dads, pets, business owners, and so many others. I vividly remember every single session. I have several clients that become friends. It's not required, but man, what a great perk!
Think about location. Think about clothing and how to cordinate colors. Look at portraits that you like online. Think about music that will enhance your vibe on shooting day.
    • The photographer's experience level • Ask about the photographer's posing • Ask about possible locations • Think about whether you would like hair and make-up added to your session • Ask about props
