Ryan Siemers Photography & Design
About
Design influences daily life & architecture is the ultimate expression of cultural values & ideals. I help to communicate how designers & architects envision the world through compelling stories and imagery.
Ever since he can remember, Ryan possessed a mind for the art of story telling.
During what has become the "Great Recession", it was clear that Ryan needed to reshape his passion for architecture, photography, and the digital arts, into a set of services that can serve the architectural community by crafting stories that communicate the value, ingenuity, and beauty that design brings society in a clear and compelling way.
Ryan's passion to learn, grown, and innovate has driven him to be a pioneer in architectural cinematography and filmmaking in Minnesota.
His flexible approach to production (budgeting, narrative discovery, script development, leverage existing firm assets, and creating new ones), makes him an ideal candidate for projects of any size.
I love helping others tell the stories of who they are and what they are passionate about. I love revealing what is often overlooked and capturing moments in time that desrve to be remembered with wmotional crystal clarity.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Identifying first what their goal is and that explore opportunities to help them it. Sounds pretty basic. Just like in Photoshop (for editing images), there's usually 3+ ways of achieving your goal. Some ccost you time, some can reveal new ways of thinking about your image. Any project is the same way. My experience though helps my clients navigate the waters of those opportunities so that they can make an informed shoice about the investment they are making into producing a great end result.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In a nutshell, I've been documenting places and spaces, and tellings stories professionally since 2009. Before that, for 4 years I was doing much the same with a large commercial Design-Build Firm where I created spaces and places and weaved the stories that we felt were both true and a projection of what would be. My linkedin profile can tell you the nitty gritty.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each project has it's own set of time and creative requirments. So while I do have standard pricing that is proprietary, I work with my clients' needs to achieve with strategies that fit their budget.
How did you get started in this business?
"The Great Recession" thrust new opportunities to explore how I could help serve architects and the design community at large through other ways. I realized that while architects used still photography to share their work, they were far behind the times when it came to the use of video to really tell the stories of how their work impacts lives.
