Because we believe everyone should be able to afford to "detox" their beauty regimens we offer both express services for the cost-concious and more extensive services for maximum results and relaxation. We aren't just skin care gurus either! Farah provides freelance makeup for brides, video/print ads and runway and also is UBER passionate about brows. With 24 years as an Esthetician and Makeup Artist she has helped everyone from celebrities to regular folk get “that glow.”

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am very open to input and try to put every new client at ease. That said if they are simply “clueless” about what’s to be done with their makeup/skin/brows I am also totally comfortable calling on my 24 yrs of experience to customize a look/regimen for them! Or a combination of both! I am sure to keep my ego out of the equation because ultimately it’s the client’s happiness that matters the most to me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Farah Husain has been in the Beauty Industry for over 20 years when she decided to leave NYU Tisch School of the Arts on a Theater scholarship to attend the Aveda Institute. She wanted to pursue a career as a Makeup Artist, but plagued by her own skin woes, she decided to get her Esthetics license. Before graduating from Aveda she was hired by Horst Salons for the new Downtown Gaviidae location. Within a year was promoted to Esthetic Director and hired/trained all Estheticians for the 7 locations in the Metropolitan Area. Since then she has managed the Downtown Minneapolis M.A.C. location, worked for the renowned Makeup Designory School in Los Angeles (a.k.a. M.U.D. which trains makeup artists for film and television) and had her own spa, Glo Skin Spa for 8 yrs. After taking a breather to raise her daughter and do freelance makeup, she has returned to to detox women's beauty routines! Specializing in natural/organic products and treatments that range from brow shaping to men's facials she aspires that Lovely will provide luxe, unique services that don't sacrifice results in the process of offering clientele an alternative to the chemical-laden products found in most department stores. Farah has received advanced education with Aveda, M.A.C, Makeup Designory, GlyMed, Decleor, Bliss, Skinceuticals, etc. She is also a Certified Ayurvedic Health Coach and Certified Wardrobe Stylist..
