Ani Carlson
About
Ani is a freelance photographer of five years specializing in event and portrait photography, adding a unique spin on their work through their dreamy, vibrant editing process. Live music is a driving force in their creative journey, and their strong point lies with musicians. They have a strong history of efficiently delivering consistent and compelling work to clients and publications with use of Adobe programs for the editing process. Strong business management, communication, and time management skills gained from experience in the arts and assistant management roles in the workforce. They have experience in managing/contributing to music zines, having past involvement with Minneapolis Lens and Nightfire Mag for live music photography.
Ani is a big fan of the video games Guitar Hero, Doom, and Skate 3, and loves humor adjacent to Tim Robinson's I Think You Should Leave. They always want to be doing something, going somewhere, working on something. They want variety in their artwork and life, no two days and no two pieces the same. Upon being asked, a friend of Ani's described their personality as hardworking, straightforward, and passionate. Another described them as well-rounded, reliable, and diligent, referring to their art as "kick-ass." Do with that what you will.
