Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The best ways for new customers is to call me. That way we can discuss your project, and talk about your unique needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art specializing in Photography. I have been trained by Canon, and have worked for some fabulous photographers in the Twin Cities. I have almost 20 years working in the photography industry, from studios, to labs, to other photographers in Virginia, Massachusetts and Minnesota.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My standard headshot sessions start at $200, and portrait sessions start at $250. This includes a proofing gallery and delivery of final retouched images electronically.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always had a camera since I was a little girl. My first camera was a 110 film camera. It was love at first site.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients range from small local families and businesses to large corporations like Target and Heart of America, AFLAC, Digital Collective, and Planomatic.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I work on different types of photography, some commercial jobs take months to finalize, and some projects are needed asap. For example- a recent headshot session with a one day turnaround. Tim knew he needed updated headshots, but waited til the last minute. It was the weekend and he needed promo shots right away when he called. Luckily I was free and we talked over his options. We decided on a studio session with a few outfit changes. I had a proofing gallery to him by the next day and he chose his favorite. He was happy that it was so easy, and I was happy to help!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for experience and education!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask about equipment and experience.
