Prior to booking an appointment, clients have access to me via phone, email, and/or social media for inquiries about my services and pricing. After a client books his/her appointment, I call, text, or email the client to inquire about specifics for their service(s). At this time, I am building a client profile to assist me in preparedness. Once that profile is built and questions are answered, I send a confirmation email with all of the infomation for the appointment for the client via email. Prior to appointment day, I send a reminder to the client of time, location, and service. My station is prepared for that client on arrival. Once my client arrives, we discuss any further details that I need to know for their services or if something has changed. As I am servicing my client, I explain my process to make sure my client is comfortable and understands what I am doing. I also provide tips for aftercare to ensure longevity of service provided. Once service is complete, I allow the client to determine if the service was to his/her satisfaction. Once payment is complete, I offer to book the next appointment.

While in college, I made money by braiding and weaving my peers hair. I also have 2 younger sisters, and my mother did not know how to do protective braids. I spent majority of my childhood braiding and weaving. I decided to loc my own hair and learned how to retwist my own hair. I learned the health and maintenance of locs over the last 10 years of being loc'd. I have started and maintenance locs for about 8 years. I began making my own beauty products for skin and haircare. After people began purchasing, I wanted to add a few more skills to offer the Queens who shopped with me. I then became a certified lash and eyebrow tech. I am still adding to my certifications and skills to provide the ultimate beauty spa with the skills to take care of all of your beauty needs!!

I have worked with all races, cultures, colors, religions, etc. My clients understand that all are welcome to book with me, and I treat everyone with a kind spirit.

I had a Muslim client who wanted braids to wear under her hijab. One of the reasons she booked me was because my salon is in my home, which limits the amount of people. She asked if any mean would be coming before she was finished. I told her no there would not be, and I informed her that I did look at her client profile to ensure she was comfortable in my space, which meant also respecting her religious practices. She was so happy and relaxed through the whole process because she knew it was a safe space. Providing that level of service is what I desire to do for all of my clients.

Look for a place and professional that suits you. Just because a professional does great hair, lashes, brows, etc., does not mean the environment fits you and vice versa. Choose a place and a person who you enjoy the energy and services provided. It's not just about the end result, it is about the process to get there.

Make sure you are honest about what you DON'T know. If you are unsure of what hair/skin type you have, do not guess. It is better to say "I don't know" and allow us to do the work for you. Different hair/skin types alter our approach and products we use for our clients.
