I think my strenght as a photographer is my versatility. Based in Biloxi, Mississippi, my company, Tarter Photographic Services, specializes in real estate, magazine, advertising, photojournalism, sports, portrait, and fashion photography.
As the Territory Owner for IMOTO Photo Real Estate Photography, I provide professional real estate photography, drone and video imagery along the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast regions.
Photography has always been my creative outlet. I love taking an idea and turing it into a compelling image.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk with any new customer before the shoot, to get a better understanding of their needs and expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's degree in photojournalism, staff photogrpher and director of photography at various newspapers, Photo Director for a bi-monthly lifestyle magazine.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do a very wide avriety of work, so most of the time set prices don't apply. I usually price a job based on the number and type of photos wanted, and the time needed to do the work.
How did you get started in this business?
I started taking photos in high school, working as the yearbook photographer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a wide variety of customers, from real estate agents, commercial businesses, and models.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recenlty did a studio shoot with a model covered in flourescent paint, illuminated with two black lights. I was really pleased with the results.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask to speak to the photographer's clients, and take a good look at the photographer's portfolio, and make sure the photogeapher is capable of doing the work you need.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A customer should ask themselves these questions:
What, exactly, do I want the photographer to do?
Where do I want the photos taken?
How will the photos be used? (Print, online, advertising, or personal use?)
How soon do you need the finished images?
