Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first meeting is a new client consultation. This can be a personal meeting or it can be done over the phone. I have a client questionnaire that allows me to get to know my client prior to the session. We discuss where they want wall art and what will work best for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken some classes but am mostly self taught. I have been taking pictures for over 40 years and consider myself a storyteller with the photos I take. I am working on my photography certification through Professional Photographers of America.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I provide personalized photo sessions created just for your individual needs. I am a full service photographer. I create the atmosphere you want and provide beautiful wall art and photo books exclusively for each individual client. My services are an investment in my client's life and the finished product is something that my client and their family will treasure for a lifetime.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always loved taking pictures. I think I was born with a camera in my hand. I started with a little 110 film camera in the 1970s, I had Polaroid cameras, other small film cameras, then graduated to 35mm film cameras. I got a small digital camera when they first came out and have upgraded until I got to my current Nikon digital that I'm using now. I have always been the "family photographer" and I record every family event. I feel that photography is the perfect way to record life.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with many high school seniors, and college graduates. I've worked with pregnant women and families for maternity sessions and Pin up sessions. I truly enjoy birthing sessions and newborn sessions. I also enjoy working with people and their pets. And i have done some sports and team photos as well. I enjoy doing head shots for marketing, corporations, beauty pageants, and small businesses.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Choose a photographer who will provide what you want from your session.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Why do you want to hire a photographer? What finished product do you want? Where/ how will you display your photos? Wall art is an investment, be prepared to pay for the experience as well as the finished product.
