Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Figure out exactly what my customer is looking for from me so that my photos encompass their vision. Sometime we do this communication via Thumbtack, sometimes via text or email and sometimes-- my clients prefer to have a phone call. What I'm really looking for is a better idea of what these clients want specifially out of their shoot time. I want to make sure that I have as many specifics about the shoot as possible and I want to make sure that I can answer all of the questions that they have of me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certification in Advanced Photography.
Certification in Wedding & Event Photography (I & II).
Certified Professional Boudoir Photographer.
Commercial Photography Certification.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is more individualized. I am flexible and I cater to my clients needs. Certain things are always taken into account though; drive time, setup, number of people, what kind of event, how many hours, etc.
So-- no, I don't really have a standard pricing system.
How did you get started in this business?
I’ve always loved photography. When I got an opportunity in school to take photo, I did. And I haven’t looked back since. Started shooting on 35mm film. And Polaroids. Lol.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Couples, individuals, small businesses, families, parties large and small,LGBTQ, nightclubs, high schools, marching bands, commercial clients, product photography clients, animals, local individuals, startups, wedding parties, bachlorettes, festivals, and many many more.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One project I did was for the wedding of Tami and Matt. It was beautiful. It was in Antigua, Guatemala. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the families and friends of the happy couple. Beautiful event. One of my favorite shoots so far.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look around, check out profiles, read what the photographer had to say, read their reviews, Google search their business and look at their work !! Talk to them, ask them questions..
Then...decide for yourself :).
