Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communicate with them via text, email, live or all of the above. Discuss ideas/concepts/expectations/wardobe/location(s) and detail what services I provide from shooting, time booked, proposed number of RAW images and final edits, timeframe for images to be returned and whether its online delivery or flash drive.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Selt-taught photographer in the business for approximately 10 years. Previous actor/model so I have been around sets since the late 90's. Edit images with professional program and business minded, focused on customer satisfaction!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Depends on various factors..... Time, number of concepts/looks/wardrobe changes, location whether outdoors, AirBnB's booked, Hotel upscale suites, etc. I never quote customers without knowing what they are looking to create!
How did you get started in this business?
Used to be in front of the camera and then my wife and I bought a Nikon N75, 35mm film camera back in 2005 or so..... I was hooked! This was just before DSLR's hit the scene.... I began purchasing lighting equip, props, backdrops, etc and realized I had enough to start shooting in my own studio. I love having a vision and then creating it with other talented individuals.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types....
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk to your photographer beforehand like everyone used to do.... Understand what is promised so that all parties are on the same page!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are they wanting to accomplish and how do they see their vision spelled out? Not everyone knows how to communicate what their goals are.
