We developed the best dough recipe to provide customers a fluffy and light donut to enjoy. We make Yeast-Raised Donut from scratch with few very simple ingredients: fresh milk, eggs, butter, flour, sugar, yeast, salt.
In addition we offer a delicious variety of vegan and gluten-free options to meet customer needs.
Since 2014 Charlotte’s first and only donut food truck which quickly gained popularity throughout the city.
Just one year later, SUGAR’s first retail location opened in Ballantyne and quickly built a loyal following for the shop’s beautiful, handcrafted donuts and pastries, offering quality catering services as well.
The result was Charlotte’s first artisanal donut concept “Sugar Donuts” Handmade Gourmet!

As Sugar Donuts keeps looking to innovate and bring always something new to our clientele, in Spring 2019 we introduced Honeybee Gelato in our Ballantyne location following the same philosophy of making everything from scratch and fresh every day.
We are offering a variety of flavors from the traditional italian like Tiramisu, Gianduia, Cannoli to other americans with an italian twist. You cannot miss Fat Free, Dairy Free, Vegan Sorbetto like Mango, Lemon Lime, Mixed Berry. Our flavors rotate monthly with weekly novelties.
