The reason I named this business Throned Beauty is because for every person that sits in my chair to have their makeup done, I want them to leave feeling like the queen they are. Everyone deserves to feel pampered and beautiful and that's why I love the work I do. So when you sit in my chair, you take your throne.
I am a certified makeup artist based in Greensboro, NC. I have experience with all skin colors and skin types. I can work with all different mediums of makeup. I've been doing makeup for around 5 years now, and finally decided to start my own brand. I'm so passionate about makeup and the way it can make people feel and boost their confidence. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask the client if they have any allergies, then asses the skin so I know what type of products to use. While assesing the skin, I will ask questions such as: do you have a special event? Do you like statement looks or more conservative looks? What color will you be wearing to your event? Will your hair be up or down? Once I figure out the type of makeup look my client is going for, I start with skin care and prep the face before makeup application. Once the makeup is completed, I ask the client if they see anything they'd like to change or anything I may have missed (because 2 sets of eyes is better than one) and make sure they are satisfied with the outcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been doing makeup for around 5 years and took a makeup certification course and receivied my makeup certification in October 2019.

I do not have a standard pricing system due to traveling and different types of services needed.
How did you get started in this business?
I've always had a passion for makeup, I practiced a lot to get good at it, and decided it was something I wanted to help others achieve as well.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with clients as young as 18 and as old as 74.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you have proof of the work they've done, and ask what types of products they use and how they sterilize their products and equipment.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
"do I have realistic expectations for my face/eye shape and my skin type?"
