Ron has over 20 years of experience capturing the natural world of stunning landscapes, enchanted waterfalls and wildlife in their natural environments. His training is a combination of both formal and informal classroom instruction, and in the field workshops where he has refined his photographic skills. This training has resulted in numerous local, regional and national photographic awards. In addition to his nature photogrphy, Ron is an accomplished sports, food, interiors and Americana (old stuff - factories, cars, trains, etc.)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Making initial contact. Getting to know the potential client. What are the clients needs and wants. How will the product be used. What is the client's budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of experience taking nature, landscape, and action sports photography. My education includes over 100 hours of formal classroom attendance. In addition, I attend numerous photography workshops, outings and webinars.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have a standard rate of $75.00 hr for field services. Photography can be pruchased directly from my website.
How did you get started in this business?
I started out in photography while in the military as a hobby. The hobby grew into a passion and the passion grew into offering my art work for sale.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I customer base includes individuals, major corporations, interior design firms and NASCAR drivers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Attending a wildlife photography outing in Eastern North Carolina.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would advise him to look for an individual who has the experience and a body of work to show. In addition, and most importantly, make sure you can communicate openly, freely and friendly with the pro. If you cannot communicate, you will not get the product you want.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What exactly they want. How ill the product be used. Where will it be displayed. What format do they want it in (Frame, print, canvas, etc.) How does the pro charge. What is the timeframe for the project.
