I held my first film SLR (a Minolta SRT:101, purchased at the thieves market in Mexico City by my step-father) in my hands shortly after two horrible personal and family tragedies. I spent hours shooting in nature and in solitude, that has become the fabric, the constant that held sway all during the turbulent years of my life.

While working as a fee appraiser in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida, from the late '90s until the mid-'20s I developed a love for Architecture and photographing from all angles playing with light. Much to the chagrin of my supervising appraiser, we were shooting with 35mm film. Can you imagine all the processing? So much has changed and I have changed with the times, finally retiring the old Nikon FM in favor of DSLR, HDR, ADM, and 3D iPhone photography.

Later I developed a love of street photography while working as a photojournalist in Tampa Bay and for the short-lived magazine bases in St. Petersburg; International Street Photographer.

Fine art photography, like all other art, is primarily about the artist. It is not about capturing what the camera sees; it is about capturing what the artist sees. In fine art photography, the artist uses the camera as a tool to create a work of art. The camera is used to make an art piece that reveals the vision of the artist and makes a statement of that vision rather than documenting the subject before the lens.
