Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe in client focused care. Your appointment should be about you. You shouldn't have to share your time with someone else. I find more clients than not appreciate this intimate approach to their service. New extension and chemical clients are required to book an consultation before services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I formally trained at Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy, which then transitioned to The Beauty Institute of Schwarzkopf. I'm cross trained in Tigi/Bedhead products & Schwarzkopf certified.
I've taken several extension courses: Kerri Alston, & Hand Tied Extensions. I've also been able to take courses under short cut specialists: Najah Aziz, owner of Like the River Salon in Atlanta & Sheena Dickerson, owner of QueenStylista's in Philly.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My prices are generally fixed. They include shampoo and blowdry. See website for prices.
How did you get started in this business?
I got my start in the industry as a self taught makeup artist at 17 in high school. From there I was able to do fashion shows, photoshoots, weddings and other special occasions. I've since switched my focus to hair after 2017.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all races, I'm no stranger to multicultural textures. I've traveled and worked with brides, businesswomen and the likes, models and photographers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Book your consultation, be honest & flexible. But most importantly, be realistic with your goals.
