Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Well, when it comes to meeting a new client I alway like to sit down and see exactly what would be needed from me. I usually would sit down with my client a month prior to there session so I could gather as much information as possible to make sure I deliever high quality standards. Within a few days a contract is written up and emailed to the client.
A week before the shoot I usually send out a list of the do's and don'ts before our session. As well as take any notes that maybe needed.
The day of the shoot I have everything set and ready so when my client arrives, or I arrive they feel as if they are at home. After the session I usually send out a thank you letter and work on editng the photos right away.
Depening on how many photos that were taken, as well as how much editing need to be done my turn around timem can be any were between 1-3 weeks. Then a digital gallery is sent to the clients so they can see their photos as well as well as start to place orders for what they may want printed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Advertising Art, Multi-Media Graphic designs, where I was taught Adobe Photoshop as well as Light room.
When it comes to the camera I would have to say watching tons of youtube videos and going onto different shoots and sessions with other photographers had taught me alot not only about the equipment that I use, but also how to capture the moment as it is happening.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
When it comes to pricing I really don't have standard pricing just yet. I am fairly new to running my own business, so I been pricing out per session, depending on what the sessions intails.
How did you get started in this business?
Well, thats kind of funny how I started out as a photographer. Three years ago I had a oppertuinty to buy a camera and a really reasonable price. I always had a curosity for photography, but never thought it would be something that I would be good at.
Once the camera was in my hands I was hooked. I learned everything I possibly clould to become better. Each day my camera went every were I went. After a year I know I wanted this to be my career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with the following customers.
- Family portaits - Office portaits
-Boudoir session - Food photography
- Weddings - Fashion portaits
- Street Photography
I am looking to expand even more as I grow with my clients.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
On facebook I decided to do some social events where any family could show up to recive professional photos taken at a extremely reasonable price of $15.
It was one of the last warm days in November and the location that I had picked had quite a few other photographers. As my clients were showing up I was gettin attention from not only the other families that were getting there photos taken, but from the other photographers as well. That day I had 32 families for these mini session.
I felt like I finally found my calling
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When you are looking for your photographer make sure its not only about price, but also how well you and the photography mesh together.
I say this because anyone can learn a camera and take photos. But once you have a real connection with some one it will show.
