Chris Catering Service
About
My name is Christopher Harris, and I go by Chef Chris. I have had my catering service for about nine years now. My background started in seafood, in a small family business in Harlem called Famous Fish on 145th Street and St Nicholas Ave. It was a little hole in the wall, but it had the best fish in Harlem and some parts of the world. The recipe was in the batter. So I specialize in seafood. I fry, bake, steam, and broil. I then graduated to working at a Chicken in Planet where I learned how the whole chicken process works: catching, beheading, skinning, and storing on ice before going to different departments such as deboning, legs, thighs, wings, and breasts. It was an amazing experience for me, so I became somewhat of a chicken master as well. I specialize in chicken, seafood, and pasta, and I make my own sauces from scratch. I have also worked with a company called Compass Group Levy, which caters to sports events worldwide. I have worked at events such as the US Open for 14 years, the Kentucky Derby for 3 years going on 4, the Western Southern Open in Cincinnati for 3 years going on 4, Saratoga in New York at the race track, t-Mobile's Center, Wisconsin University, Oklahoma University, Notre Dame University, and Missouri University. I have also cooked at the Essence Festival for 4 years, owning a booth in the Coca-Cola lounge with Dougie Fresh, the greatest entertainer in the world. I have also cooked for Harlem Week in New York, Brooklyn Festival, and many more. So I specialize in cooking for small groups, medium-sized groups, and very large groups of people. I have cooked for 200,000 people at one time with a large group of chefs from different states and countries.country
