Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new clients, I usually start off by asking small questions about them to get a sense of who they are. I understand this is a vulnerable space to be in so there is also relaxing music playing in the background more often than not!
The pictures come organically. I like the clients to use what they feel in the moment to incorporate in the capturing of photos, which turns out to be the best type.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from NYU Tisch School of Arts in 2021 with a Film and TV Degree.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I like to get a sense of my clients' budget, then I'll give a quote and wiggle around that number.
How did you get started in this business?
I started taking photographs and making short films. when I was 14 years old. I shot anything and everything, until I gained a little bit of experience. I created a body of work, which led me to eventually be accepted at one of the most elite film schools in the world.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Thus far I have worked with people for different events such as proms, birthdays, sports, models, ametuer actors, local newspapers, and many more!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One day recently I captured a beautiful photograph from a basketball game. The player went up for a breakaway layup after beating everyone down the court. A mother of one of the players approached me and asked if I had gotten any photographs of her son. It turned out that the beautiful shot I captured was the moment her son scored his first point. She cried after i showed her the photo and told me that her son doesn't get that much playing time. Money of course didn't matter at that moment. I sent her the photo and I got an email later on that day that she repositioned the wall in her home to make way for a new framed photo! Wow.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would tell a customer looking to hire a pro to be transparent and open on what they are looking for in an event or photoshoot. There are a lot of great photographers that are specialized in the photos they take based off of their shooting styles. But if you're open about what you want, you are more than capable of finding exactly what you're looking for.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Cusomters should always ask themselves what style of shots they are looking for along with how much they are willing to spend on photographs. It can be overwhelming deiciding what the individual is looking for or if photographs are even necessary at all, but remember, some moments you'll be able to share and talk about for a lifetime.
