I'm a licensed makeup artist. The purpose of wanting to become a makeup artist was because I love how makeup gives you the opportunity to be creative. My number one goal with every client that I come across is to notify them that makeup is to enhance the natural beauty and features that you already have not to make you beautiful. Being beautiful is within yourself.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process with working with a new client is taking out time in getting to know them a little . My goal is to make them feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I prefer communicating with new clients either through a phone call, text message or via email. Preferably a phone call. I like to find out what type of skin that they have have meaning do you you have sensitive skin. This in my opinion is very important because it allows me to know what products to use and what products to stay away from. From there, I would like to ask what type of service would you like, what day of service would you like and time. After we have discussed all of that I'd like to discuss the booking policy and answer any questions that they may have.

How did you get started in this business?
How I got started in the business was through a very good friend. She introduced me to the makeup world and from that moment, I knew that I wanted to become a makeup artist.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all different types of customer's who are interested in my service. I have absolutely no problem with working with whom ever.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Well this particular person that I was fond of was my best friend. She was going through a lot at the time and her birthday was arriving. I wanted to do something very special for her. My friend's and I decided to give her a complete mommy make over to let her know that no matter how difficult or challenging life gets you're deserving of taking that time out for yourself and feeling beautiful. So I decided to give her a beautiful Makeup look which turned out great.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to please be sure to read all booking and policy guidelines in it's entirety prior to booking a service. Please be sure to follow all of the the rules and regulations and be very clear about what type of service you would like. Please be mindful and respectful of our time because communication is key for an overall great experience.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should think through overall questions in general such as asking pros questions about their pricing and policies. I say that because some customers will not read booking policy, pricing, and guideline information when it's displayed up front. That can be very challenging and difficult for a pro. My advice is to please read everything that's displayed and if you have questions or concerns about something that you didn't understand then ask the questions.
