Rebecca did an amazing job on my cut. My hair looked amazing and everyone commented on it. She has great attention to detail and a very warm demeanor. I would highly recommend her services.

Rebecca is so caring, kind and honest. She will listen and see your ideas/photos and give you feedback as to what she thinks will work with your hair texture, facial shape, length and overall look. I love my style by BexJolie and her TLC.

Rebecca is amazing! Ive been seeing her for almost ten years, and I always come back because she does such meticulous and creative work. A cut from Rebecca doesnt just took terrific when I leave the salon--it looks just as good the next day when I wash and dry it myself, and it always grows out beautifully. Rebecca is a superbly skilled stylist, and a wonderful person to work with, too.

Frequently asked questions

I think it's so important to ask them basic questions regarding their desired style, what their hair texture is like and product preferences? It's also important to know  about their lifestyles and what their schedules are like.

I graduated from The Learning institute for Beauty Services in Brooklyn, NY and received my cosmetology license immediately after graduation. I then went on to work at Minardi salon for 8 years on the Upper East Side. I was able to assist my Mentors and travel with them to teach educational classes for professionals and assist them on photo shoots for various editorial publications. I later went on to follow one of the owners in a new salon venture and have been working there for the past 5 years. I am licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey.

When I see clients At Carmine Minardi NYC salon my rates are as follows.

Women's Haircuts $140

Men's Haircuts $85

Blowdrys $60- $75 depending on length and desired look.

Updo's - start at $125 and up.

Growing up I was always the one doing my friends hair and changing up my look. After receiving my Associates in Merchandising Management I went to work for my parents in a family business. I soon realized that I no longer wanted to express my creative side though clothing but through hair. One of my best friends was a Hairstylist and I was attracted to the flexibility and endless possibilities the industry offered. With the support of my family I enrolled in school full time and began working 3 days before graduation. I have been working  non stop ever since and could not be more happy with the path that I chose.

Luckily, I have clients from all backgrounds and lifestyles in my chair. CEO's of corporations, Broadway actors, Stay at home Moms to hipsters. They all bring a different energy to my day and I could not be more grateful.

I have a lot of respect for professionals in any field who use their skills or  influence to help those in need. For instance, there is a stylist that takes to the city and offers the homeless free cuts. I admire salons that participate in Cut a thons and donate their profits. Helping people feel their best is an amazing feeling for all.

Do some research, google them and check on their work on social media. Feel free to ask questions and show pictures of the looks that you like when you meet them. As a professional, they will let you know what's acheivable in and out of the Salon.

Most importantly,

How should I prep for the appointment whether in the salon or at home?

How long am I going to need?

Should my hair hair already be washed?

Do I have a comfortable area with an available electric socket?

Will they need an extension cord?

I believe all first time appointments should have a thorough consultation. It's important to see the texture and health of the hair. How it moves naturally and how it looks the next day or two days after a styling. Pictures of the hair before the wash would be helpful. The more we know the more we can help you.
