Altusamor Wedding Photography is Masato Onoda & Gerardo Somoza, freelance fashion photographers in New York.

We have shot weddings together since 2010. Our collaboration started with this epic wedding. One of our friends, a photographer, we know very well from fashion shows asked both of us together to shoot her wedding. She had an amazing location for her ceremony in a private house with ocean view in Montauk, NY. Weather was perfect. Sunny and warm. Both bride and groom were beautiful inside and outside. While ocean breeze and warm sunset wrapped around us, guests enjoyed relaxing dinner with fried chicken and grilled corn. Each speech from both sides of families made us laugh and cry. We freely photographed the whole scene. We talked to the people and made friends. Even cupcakes were great. (Of course, a cupcake is great but I don't eat it that often.) In a nut shell, it was quite fun. A few days later, we saw each other's photographs and realized that there was something amazing about them. There was real emotion and beauty that you don't see much in fashion. We also realized our photographic styles are slightly different, which compliment each other's. So, it was "aha!" moment for us. Since then, we have shot a lot of weddings and so far so good.
