Also known as Jerz Photography, my style combines my background in nightlife and music photography, with an eye for aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable photos. I specialize in event photography, including weddings, senior photos, animal photos, headshots, modeling, and business photography.
I enjoy being able to create photos that are used to help establish brands and set themselves apart for their clientele. I love being able to preserve memories that are usually not otherwise seen and creating an image that my clients can remember for years.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to chat with a new customer to get to know their personality and style. After understanding their style, I like to inform them of my thoughts and how my style will fit with what they are looking for. I look at all photography partnerships as a collaboration. If my clients are looking for a particular type of photo, I want to know that I can provide them exactly what they want.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught and trained through over 10 years of experience in some of the most challenging lighting situations possible. I have also been fortunate to have been mentored by and work with several well-known local photographers to develop a wide range of photography knowledge and experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I bid all work separately. I do not believe in packages because I do not believe in forcing my clients to choose what I provide to them, I want to provide them what they want.
How did you get started in this business?
I got involved in photography accidentally. I always loved taking photos, but never expected it to become a career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with international entertainers and musicians, local and national businesses, and events of all kind.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I covered a winter wedding in Cooperstown, NY and the look and feel of the photos was very different than what you would usually see.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk to your photographer and understand their thought process. Just because someone has a great portfolio does not mean they are the photographer for you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Their budget, their specific needs and wants, and have some looks they are fond of or want to emulate. Pinterest is everyone's friend when it comes to photography.
