    Frequently asked questions

I meet with a couple to find out what kind of a ceremony would best suit them.  Then, about a month prior to the wedding, I write the ceremony and email it to them for their approval.  I encourage couples to make any changes they feel would be appropriate.

My basic fee is $400.  If I have to travel over an hour it becomes $500.  If I am required to be at a rehearsal, my fee is an additional $50.

After I was ordained, about 6 months later, one of my Reiki students asked me to be her officiant.  I was nervous, but went ahead with it.  It turned out to be one of the most wonderful experiences of my life.  It was then that I decided that this would not just be a sidelight, but rather a mainstay in my professional life.  That was  30 years ago.  To this day, it is my favorite thing to do.

I have married couples of every faith and nationality, age group and sexual orientation.

At the beginning of the pandemic, a couple wanted to marry, but the groom was extremely germaphobic.  So, we met in the parking lot of a local church, I stayed in my car, the bride and groom and her daughter stayed in another and their witnesses stayed in another.  We did the entire ceremony via zoom.
