How did you get started in this business?
I started out in a salon in North canton, Oh where I apprenticed under the owner of the salon who was also an educator. There I learned about coloring techniques, and extension maintenance. After that, I trained under another stylist/salon owner in Akron, Oh where I learned how to help manage, train and style natural hair. From there I worked for a chain salon where I really focused on time management and haircutting.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with children, adults, (all genders) the elderly and clients with special needs.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask a lot of questions, research so you can give the best description of what you’re looking for and budget!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Please understand as professionals were taking into consideration our education and skill, our time, and cost of product.
