My name is Chanel Mattingly and I work at Le Salon De Luxe in North College Hill! I’ve been doing hair since 2015 but have grown up in the hair industry as I work along side my mother who has done hair for 25 years. I specialize in balayages, ombres, and fashion colors! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will normally do a consultation over text/phone or in person to discuss what it is the client wants. I like to see what their current hair looks like and what their goal is! From there I can deliver a price quote as well as a run down of how the appointment will go!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I always say to a have a reference photo of what it is you're wanting to achieve with your hair whether it be color, cut, or even style. When it comes to your end goal remember it may take multiple sessions to get there. If you're unsure of something ALWAYS ask questions. There is never a dumb question. As a stylist, I want my clients to understand the process compared to being unsure of something. Communcation is key.
