Hello, my name is Heather Spikes and I am the driving force behind Spikes Studios. I am wanderlust driven photographer & videographer, professional dream chaser, and content creator- willing to do anything to get that perfect shot. I am based in Cleveland, OH but always ready to catch a plane to wherever your project takes us!
My love for photography came from a dark place- literally. In high school, I spent hours in the dark room, learning how to develop and print black and white film. Since then, I have had a great appreciation for the art of film, and the discipline and technique required- it is all about having confidence in your settings and composition, which is a mantra that can be applied to life- when you have confidence in your skills and maintain a positive outlook on life, the world is yours to conquer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Your experience from beginning to end is customize to your needs and how I can best serve you. During our initial phone call, I will introduce myself and gather the details for your session to create a tailored proposal and welcome package. Once we have our photoshoot, you will receive sneak peaks to hold you over while you wait for your full edited online gallery. After you receive your gallery, I like to keep in contact and offer $25 off any package for returning clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Bachelors degree in Film & Television from Cleveland State University, where I became profiecent in photography/videography production and editing.
I currently use Adobe Premiere, After Effects, LightRoom, and Photoshop during my post production proccess.

Every session is as unique, so you are receiving a custom proposal for every session to meet your needs. However, portrait sessions generally start at $250.
