What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I conduct an interview with my client to see if I am the right fit for there event. I understand that I may not be the guy for there event and I am ok with that. I want my clients to be comfortable with me and I want them to feel confident with the service that I provide.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have my BS in Telecommunication from Youngstown State University. I have worked on a few documentaries that included Youngstown 2010 project with PBS. I am credited with audio engineering for the Documentary Ash and Smoke the story of Ashweitz aired of PBS.

I have worked with local performing artist on Music Videos that have been released on for my video photography.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My hourly rate is $150. per hour with a 2 hour Minimum

Weddings require more time involved so I charge accordingly. Wedding are normally around $$$$ depending on the time involved.  That is why I conduct an interview with my potential client because your time and my time is very valuable and we do not get time back.

How did you get started in this business?

I got started in my business while I was in college. I was an athlete and I purchased a camera and that was the end of it!

I shot my first wedding when I was 20 and I have been doing it ever since. I was using film then so you can imagine the stress.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with bands, models, Celebrities, Olympian Athletes, Politicians, pastors. and your common Joe that needed to have a photographer but did not have all the money to get what they needed done.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Please do your homework. A quality Photographer charges for there time that it takes to get the photo and editing. A professional photographer charges between $150 - $250 per hour for head shots corporate setting and engagement portraits. Keep in mind this is just a standard price listing.

Weddings are completely different.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Be organized, know what you want and make sure that you are getting what you pay for.
