Photos are memories, stories, and moments we hold precious. You can never have too many great photos representing significant moments that you can always look back on and remember.
Whether you're looking for personal or professional photos I am the most well-rounded photographer in the whole Portland area. I love to shoot headshots, dating profiles, and families.
I have been a photographer my whole life and an entrepreneur in everything from clothing, theater, video production, and meal prep.
Do you need website content that pairs with your brand? social media content that speaks to your target audience? Or print ads that get people to pay attention enough to buy your product? Photography is a tool that all business needs to be taken seriously if they want to stand out and professional photography is the fastest way to do just that.
I've been on the other side of the lens for countless family photos shoots, engagement, pregnancy, you name it so I understand that 1 cookie cutter photo shoot doesn't work for everyone. Telling a story is what brings photos to life and I love to figure out how to tell that story with you through a lens.
From getting to help new people, trying new ideas, pushing myself creatively, editing photos. It's an honor to have my work hanging in your home for years to come.
Of course, I love the technical aspects of photography but the photos I deliver are what matters. Making clients satisfied with their end product has always been my goal and that is more rewarding than seeing your photo in a home, store window, or website?

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process is simple and easy for the client. We talk about what they are wanting, where it will be used, the messaging that’s going with it, any imagery that they like already, how soon they need it, style and format for delivery.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I owned a real estate video and photography company for 3 years before becoming the founder of a meal prep company where I did all of the food photography. Since then I have shot for multiple brands spanning from speaker systems to backpacks. I love product photography and want to help your brand grow through beautiful engaging images.

Every shoot is a little different in the set up but a typical shoot for an amazon product starts at $50, a lifestyle shoot starts at $225, and a lifestyle shoot with a model starts at $325, food starts at $225, everything else I can bid for you.
How did you get started in this business?
By necessity, I owned a food company and content for social media is key. I've shot other subject professionally but food and product is a beast, it's harder to shoot than it looks so I tried hiring people to shoot for me but it came out worse than I thought so I set out to perfect the art on my own. I love being creative, experimenting with different editing techniques, lighting, reflectors, backgrounds, props, etc. The list goes on and after years of shooting food and product, I feel like I know the needs of a business owner because I am one.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Beaches Drive-In classic car show. I have a 1967 Cadillac Coupe Deville that I love to show off and photograph and in Portland, there is a car show every Wednesday with hundreds of cars. I love vintage anything so getting to shoot the cars, talk to the owners and bask in the beauty of design that is long past. I shoot everything and choose different styles to shoot when out and about. It forces me to look at things differently and try new shots!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Disclaimer! I'm a photographer so I'm biased, we all work differently but this is how I would look for someone. First is deciding what you need with a clear idea of how you are going to use it. Start looking for people who specialize in that field, have the style you like, quality and price. Next, how easy are they to work with? Do they charge for every minute of conversation or are small changes easy to deal with. Editing style is a big one if you have a specific vision. Can they do the editing that you need? Light and bright, dark and moody, pink and tangerine tint?
Decide on what you want the photography for and find photographers that specialize in that field of your style needs, quality and price match your needs and recourses. Talk to them, ask questions and carefully outline your needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
"This would be good for your portfolio" is the one we hear the most. Which means I don't value your years of experience, expensive equipment or the skill and talent we have. We understand that everyone wants to save money but photography is how people actually see you and your business. It's worth spending enough to get what you want, remember you can use them over and over for years!
