About this pro

I have been in the photography business since graduation from Antinelli school of photography in 1974. I ran my photography business until 1980 when I moved to New York City to be the Chief Staff Photographer for York Recording Studio. For 13 years I photographed celiberties for album covers and publicity photos. 

I meet my wife to be and we moved back to Harrisburg to re-start our own photography business. Now we photograph weddings, engagement photography, child photography, Senior Portraits, Model Portfolios, Events, Reunions, and a host of other related photography.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Listen to what the customer wants so we can be sure of giving them exactly what they need. 


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Graduate of Antinelli,s School of photography.

Member of Professional Photographers of America.

A number of photography training courses and night school. 


How did you get started in this business?

In junior high school library I picked up a book on photography. I was hooked.


What types of customers have you worked with?

Good customers and not so gook customers.


Describe a recent event you are fond of.

As a favor I photographed the family reunion of a friend. The Matriarch of the family was 90 years old. We photographed all the family that was there and there was a lot of them. Her children, grands, great grands, great greats, and great great great grands. There was only a few people from her family that was missing. She was so pleased with the album she cried. 


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Check his personality, his appearence. Ask him to show you samples of the type of work you are looking for. See if he is priced reasonably for that type of photography.


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

The customer should have a good idea of how much they can afford for the photography they need. This will help them to avoid buyers remorse.
